Temporary Email Not Receiving a Verification Code? A Practical Checklist
Check the address, expiry, sender restrictions, and delivery state before requesting another verification email.

If a verification email has not arrived, first check the address and the inbox's expiry. Then distinguish an empty inbox from a page that cannot load messages. Repeatedly requesting codes before checking these details can make it harder to know which email belongs to your latest attempt.
1. Compare the complete address
Copy the address directly from your inbox. Compare it with the address shown on the sender's confirmation screen, including the domain and any Gmail plus suffix. If you changed inboxes after starting verification, return to the sender and update the destination before trying again.
2. Confirm the inbox is still active
A temporary inbox has a limited lifetime. Check the remaining-time badge before requesting mail. Do not expect an expired address to be a reliable destination for later verification or account recovery. Generate a fresh inbox for a new short-term task; use a permanent address for an account you need to keep.
3. Refresh once and read the page state
Use the inbox's Refresh action and wait for it to finish. An empty message list and a connection error mean different things. If the page reports an error, check your connection or try the site troubleshooting page. Avoid submitting the same request repeatedly while a refresh is already running.
4. Identify the inbox type
A domain inbox receives messages through this service's delivery system. A Gmail Temp inbox displays mail imported from a connected Google mailbox. Neither path guarantees immediate delivery. If other sample messages arrive but one sender's email does not, report the sender and approximate request time to support.
5. Check the sender's policy
Some websites do not accept disposable addresses or particular domains. If the sender explicitly rejects your address, use an address it supports. Changing address spelling does not establish permission to bypass that policy. A successful form submission also does not confirm that the sender dispatched an email.
6. Request a new code carefully
Follow the sender's stated resend interval. If you request another code, use the latest message and read the sender's instructions about validity. Do not share the code, verification link, or inbox token with anyone offering to troubleshoot your account.
What to include in a support request
- The inbox type: domain or Gmail Temp.
- The time you requested the message and your timezone.
- Whether the inbox was active and whether Refresh showed an error.
- The sender's service name and any non-sensitive error text.
Use Contact support without sending passwords, codes, private email bodies, or inbox access tokens.
When to stop using a temporary address
If the task involves money, personal records, or an account you will need tomorrow, switch to a permanent mailbox before completing registration. Read the FAQ and temporary inbox safety checklist before relying on disposable email.
