Gmail Temp Messages Not Arriving? Check Delivery and Inbox Sync
Troubleshoot Gmail Temp delivery by checking the exact alias, remaining time, refresh state, and sender acceptance.
TempMail Team
A Gmail Temp inbox displays messages imported for an alias of a connected Gmail account. When mail is missing, separate three questions: did the sender accept the address, did it send a message, and did that message become available in the temporary inbox? An empty list alone cannot answer all three.
Verify the exact alias first
Copy the address from the current inbox and compare it with the sender's destination. Pay attention to the full plus suffix and @gmail.com ending. If you generated another address after submitting a form, the sender may still be emailing the previous alias.
Check whether the inbox is active
Read the remaining-time indicator. If the alias has expired, start a new short-term task with an active address rather than depending on the old one. Use a permanent address for any account that needs future verification or recovery.
Refresh once and wait for the result
Refresh requests the latest available inbox data. Wait for the loading state to finish before clicking again. If you see a connection or server error, note the non-sensitive error text. A failed refresh means the page could not confirm its current messages; it does not prove the sender never sent anything.
Understand delivery versus import
Gmail Temp relies on a connected Google mailbox and the service's message import process. A sender's delay and an import delay can look similar to a visitor. You cannot infer the cause simply from an empty inbox. Support can investigate the service side when you provide the request time and inbox type.
Check the sender's acceptance rules
Some websites reject temporary email or particular address formats. If the sender shows an address-validation error, follow its policy and choose a supported address. Gmail spelling variations are not a guarantee of acceptance or permission to bypass restrictions. Read the Gmail alias guide for the difference between an alias and a separate account.
When a verification code is delayed
Follow the sender's resend interval. If you request a replacement, read its instructions and use the appropriate current code. Do not send codes or login links to support. For a broader checklist, see verification emails not arriving.
Report the issue without exposing secrets
Tell support the sender's service name, the approximate request time and timezone, whether your alias was active, and whether Refresh returned an error. Exclude your inbox access token, passwords, codes, and private message contents.
If you are new to the feature, follow the Gmail Temp setup guide. The FAQ explains browser access and expiry.
